Recorded on Halloween last year in the middle of our two-week recording session in a remote Montana cabin, “Celestine” is a murder ballad of sorts, with eerie four-part harmonies and a dramatic ending. We had the 1922 silent horror film, “Nosferatu,” playing on loop in the background as we laid down the tracks for this tune.
